| About Palm Beach County Dog Fanciers Association...
The Palm Beach County Dog Fanciers held their first AKC Licensed Show on January 19, 1949 in an airplane hanger at the Palm Beach International Airport, with less than 300 dogs. At our 4th Show we had 483 entries and during that time we were a part of the Florida January Circuit that started on the West Coast South to Miami and North up the East Coast. This Circuit lasted two weeks and was a large social event. Our entry has increased and we have had an entry of 1,500.
In the following years, the Shows were held in various locations in Palm Beach County including the Breakers Hotel on the ocean and a PGA Golf Club on the greens.
Since the beginning the Club has donated the net proceeds from the shows to the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League of the Palm Beaches and other canine charities.
